So before 1750 men wore waist coats, as seen on far left. Then after 1750 years passed and they grew shorter to what we know as a vest. Fashion has evolved so much over the years that vest became stylish for women. Today, the 80’s are trending. So jean vest have made a come back. Women have paid homage to the vest in various ways.

History has shown that in the 1600’s, boots and shoes had a flat sole attached to keep the heels of the shoe or boot from sinking into soft ground. These were called slap sole shoes because apparently they smacked the ground when they walked. Now, in 2014 slap sole shoes looking like theses. I said it once and I’ll say it again,

It has been known that Mary Jane’s have been around for centuries. It has also been said by many that A single strap across the front of the foot worn by Mary Jane, a character from the Buster Brown comic strip in the beginning of the 1900’s is when little girls everywhere went ham for them.
In the 20’s Twenties they were considered sophisticated. Then in the 30’s, Shirley Temple made headlines with the white Mary Jane’s she always wore. Mary Jane’s were popular then and still are now. They have evolved in a lot of ways.
